This is using Attack Performance GSXR 600/750 bodywork for a '04/5 model. I am submitting this to Attack so that they can manufacture SV bodywork.

Trim the inner fender flush to the side of the stock sub-frame:

Cut the side cover mounting tab (yes, the side cover/ tail section can still be mounted securely without it):

This is what it looks like:

Re-locate the electrical componets from the left side of the sub-frame, to under the pillion seat mount. I used zip-ties and bolted the ballast:

Fab brackets for the tail mount. These are 2.5" tall, with 1" tabs. They are bolted to the sub-frame where the tail section (and I think the pillion seat latch) was mounted. Holes are drilled at the upper "tab" and Dzus fastners were used to secure the tail:

This bracket is bolted where the stock fairing bracket bolted *inside* the frame rail. The new bracket is 2" longer (different bodywork may be different measurements, check for your measurements), and is drilled at the end to accept Dzus fastners too:

I screwed up and will take a better pic of this later, but I made a bracket for the lower fairing that is bolted to the stock exhaust hanger (below the rearset brake assembly). The bracket bends out (away from the bike) 3/4", then is bent to extend forward (pointing toward the front of the bike) 3.5", where a hole is drilled and a Dzus faster is attached. On this bike, with this bodywork, it lines up with the "boss" that is used to mount the bodywork to a GSXR. It also keeps the bodywork away from the exhaust pipes. Aftermarket exhaust may require some modification for this, but there is about a 1/4" air gap for this bike with stock head-pipes.

The next two show the air gap (though it is tough to see... take my word for it!)

Preview of the upper, lower and tail mocked up with the new brackets:

Fairing stay is a GSXR Vortex stay. SV specific stays can *very likely* be used here too, we opted for the GSXR because it is more plentiful at the track and with trackside vendors:

We also went with the GSXR fender because it mounts higher on the forks than the SV, which allows for pretty much any brand of tire warmer. A 3/8" spacer was used to mount the rear tab of the fender.

Well, here it is! The paint is "Zinc Yellow" (I know, I didn't think Zinc was "yellow" either... ) in basecoat/ clearcoat, with "Bright White" and "Black Effect" on the bottom, Tri-Coated with "Gold tint pearl" and then cleared. Vortex fairing stay, adjustable rearsets, and clip-ons, Race Tech forks from Metric Cycles in Houston, Ohlins shock, pair valve delete, tank spacers, snorkle-ectomy, LP V2 windscreen, D&D 1st gen slip-on, and Bridgestone 090 DOT race tires- supplied by John at South Central Race Center!
